Taking my power back

I have always been a people pleaser and the ultimate care giver but not to myself. I put others before me.I have noticed a big shift in going through menoplause. I have taken my power back and I have learned to give to myself first.I am not at 100 per cent yet but 80 for sure.
I do not put up with what I used to. I had a male friend come from England who i have not seen in 6 years. He did not find the same person he knew.He was rather shocked that the mouse he knew had left.
To make a long story short I realized this person could not belittle me or take advantage of me.
I do not know what happens in this stage of life exactly but something inside changes and you realize who you are won't put up with what you used to and you have a voice and use it.I feel more powerful as a woman than any other time in my life.It is a great feeling.
