Affirmations

            Louise Hay, author of “You Can Heal Your Life”, says that every thought she thinks is creating her future.  The queen of affirmations, she healed her own body using affirmations and positive thinking.   

           Affirmations reset your brain.  Your brain can’t always distinguish the difference between a real event and one that is imagined.  Affirmations, when applied properly, tricks the brain into thinking an imagined event is real.  For instance, during meditation focusing on an affirmation like, “My body handles stress well,” rewires the brain to believe that the body actually does handle stress well!  Pretty cool stuff!

            Here are a few of the affirmations we teach and use in Taming the Dragon Within. 

  • I am healthy and vital.

  • I attract good relationships with good people.

  • I am blessed with organizational skills.

  • My life is worth living.

  • I have purpose and drive.
